Dr. Goione Merchant is the Owner of New Jersey Hearing Health Center and Educational Audiology Resources in Brick, New Jersey. She has been a practicing clinical and educational Audiology for over 35 years, working with both adult and pediatric populations. She obtained her Doctor of Audiology Degree from the University of Florida in2002. Prior to that, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Audiology from Trenton State College (The College of New Jersey) and her Bachelor of Science degree in Education as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing from Trenton State College. She also holds a NJ
Certificate to teach the Handicapped. Dr. Goione Merchant holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and American Board of Audiology Certificate (ABAC).
Before becoming an Audiologist, Dr. Goione Merchant taught high school resource room and worked briefly as a sign language interpreter. With a passion for education, Dr. Goione Merchant served as the Clinic Coordinator of Audiology at Trenton State college in the mid 1990’s and later as an Assistant Professor in the Montclair State University Speech Pathology and Audiology program for ten years.
Dr. Goione Merchant is the immediate Past President on the Board of New Jersey Academy of Audiology. She also served on the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners Speech Pathology and Audiology Board. Dr. Goione Merchant lectures, consults and provides workshop on topics relating to hearing loss and auditory disorders; educational audiology; aural rehabilitation; and auditory processing disorders

Dr. Nicole Piasentini, Au. D.
Audiologist
Dr. Nicole Piasentini holds a clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from Montclair State University and an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University.
Dr. Piasentini has a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a member of the Educational Audiology Association.
Dr. Piasentini works with patients of all ages to identify hearing loss and work through rehabilitative strategies to improve communication, including hearing amplification devices when appropriate. She also works closely with Neptune Township School District to manage their Deaf and Hard of Hearing program.
